So What’s Jack’s Story?

Governor Jack was born in Chisolm, Minnesota on July 4th, 1975. Growing up in Chisolm, a small mining town in the Mesabi Iron Ore Range, gave Jack knowledgeable experience about what life is like in Midwestern industrial communities. Jack’s parents were hard-working iron miners and Jack is forever thankful for their sacrifice. After graduating from Chisholm High School, Jack attended the University of Minnesota, where he received a degree in American Literature and Economics. Jack then went to Stanford law school and graduated at the top of his class. Instead of joining a competitive law firm, Jack returned to Minnesota and became a Civil Rights Attorney in Minneapolis. Jack grew in notability during his six years as an attorney and in 2006 he was elected to Minnesota’s state legislature. Jack served for two terms in the Minnesota Legislature. In 2012, at the age of 37, he became one of the youngest Governors ever in the state of Minnesota. Under Jack’s leadership, 25,000 new jobs were created in Minnesota and the state increased its renewable energy usage by 175%. Right now, Jack spends most of his time with his wife and two kids in their house right outside of St. Paul.
