GOVERNOR JACK
Progress starts here
Just today, a 2-1 decision by the 5th district court of appeals declared that the Individual Mandate in the Affordable Care Act is unconstitutional. The act did not entirely invalidate the law, but it provided for a future decision to be made by a lower court regarding whether or not to uphold the entirety of the law. This is a tragedy! Every citizen must be required to have healthcare. Healthcare saves lives, yet this decision strips healthcare from millions. It also has the potential to completely invalidate the law and get rid of healthcare for millions of more Americans. Under my administration, I will try to change this. I will support the appeal of this ruling and under my administration, I will nominate judges that support guaranteeing citizens that right to live! We need to be expanding the Affordable Care Act, not restricting it. The price of medical care in our country has gotten out of control, my administration will lower the price of prescription drugs and medical care, provide more funding to hospitals, expand Medicare and Medicaid, and appropriate more federal funds to giving citizens healthcare. Everyone in our country needs healthcare, and my administration will make sure everyone gets healthcare.
